The NHS Healer - How My Son's Life Inspired a Healing Journey (Paperback, New edition)

When Angie Buxton-King's young son, Sam, was diagnosed with leukaemia, Angie's determination to try everything she could for her child led her to consider complementary therapies, especially healing, alongside the hospital treatment. As she contacted more healers and used her own healing skills to help Sam through his treatment, doctors were amazed at how few side effects he suffered and Angie saw the real difference healing made in how much more comfortable Sam was. Tragically Sam died three years later, but Angie's experiences led her to take up healing more seriously, eventually persuading University College Hospital to offer her services to some of their patients. Angie is now the only healer on the payroll of the NHS, running a team of complementary therapists in the haematology unit at UCH who are able to give comfort and some relief to patients with serious illnesses.
