Excerpt: ...It is evident from the results secured in the Dill & Collins Co. plant and in others where this type of cell is used, as well as in pulp and paper mills where other types of cells are in successful operation, that the electrolytic manufacture of bleach has long since passed the experimental stage. There is no guesswork as to what a cell or the auxiliary equipment will do. Given definite premises as to cost of power, raw materials and labor, it is possible to fix the production cost of bleach and caustic soda just as accurately as the cost of pulp can be figured.
