Khaiyam has already been introduced to English readers in a partial, but very poetical, version made by the late Mr. Edward Fitzgerald; and he is indebted for most of the favour he has hitherto received from English readers to this elegant paraphrase, which has been looked upon, however, more in the light of origina...
