Charity Hospital and the nearby University Hospital were both teaching hospitals affiliated with the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans (LSUHSiNO). University Hospital and the adjacent Tulane Medical Center remain open. The Charity Hospital building is located in the New Orleans Hospital District.
