Excerpt: Lars Jesper Blomqvist (born 5 February 1974) is a Swedish former football player, who has been the assistant manager of Superettan side Hammarby since December 2009. He played at IFK Gteborg, where he won four straight Allsvenskan league titles between 199396, and Manchester United, where he was part of the team that won a treble in 1999, consisting of the FA Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League. He returned to Swedish football in 2003 with Djurgrden, where he won his final Allsvenskan title, before initially retiring in 2005. An injury crisis prompted a playing return for Enkping in 2008. Blomqvist has made 30 international appearances for Sweden and helped them to third place at the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States. After an early spell at Tavelsj IK, Blomqvist signed for recently formed Ume FC in 1992. In the spring portion of his first season for the club, he helped them to the Division 2 Norra Norrland title, promoting the club to Division 1 Norra for the autumn.
