Before speaking of our present patients it may interest our readers to hear some of the good and permanent results of last season's work. Our Bible-women and nurses continue to visit those who have stayed at Southend, and on all sides, from many different quarters, we have heard how thoroughly all enjoyed themselves. We have noted too the improvement in the homes. The men especially seem to have benefited by the good influences under which they were brought. This is one of many letters we have received. "Dear Madam, --It is with much pleasure that I write to inform you of the great change in my dear husband, for which I don't know how to thank you enough; indeed, he is not the same man.
