This work gives an overview of the different forms of growth of inanimate matter (and, to a lesser extent, of animate matter) in addition to an analysis of the interface dynamics, wherein external fields following diffusion equations or diffusion reactions regulate movement. Among others, it presents the basics of physics, the non-linear evolution of interfaces, an outline of the connection of certain cellular growth phenomena in the living world.
