Jagadhri (Paperback)

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Jagadhri is a city and a municipal council in Yamunanagar district in the Indian state of Haryana. This town is a part of twin towns, constituting Jagadhri and Yamunanagar; Jagadhri is the older one and the latter a relatively new town (old name "Abdullahpur). There is hardly any demarcation between the two towns and almost impossible, without knowing, where one town ends and where other starts. It is thought that small towns of Yugandhra & Ganadhari were demolished by Nadirshah in 1739. Sardar Rao is credited with rebuiding of the city in 1783. Slowly Jagadhri became a major center for metal industry.
