Big Tree and the Tree Talker (Paperback)

Born in the heart of agricultural Fresno, California, trees have always been an important part of my life. Born the daughter of a third generation farmer, the value of protecting our environment was stressed for me at a very young age. My family has always focused on being chemical-free and conscious of litter. As an adult, I am active in the Keep Fresno Beautiful and Clean a Highway programs, both designed to keep our land free of litter. The Save a Plant program was established to relocate plant life that was in the way of construction. While participating in this program, I met the tree that inspired this book. A college education, along with numerous hands-on experiences, has empowered me with the tools to arouse earth awareness. A sensitivity to all living things is important to our future. Hopefully, more will tune into the way that nature speaks to us all. Then, perhaps you too can become a Tree Talker.
