There are many people who should be unpaid church workers but are
full-time ministers. There are also part-time ministers who should
be in full-time ministry. There are many questions surrounding
full-time or part-time ministry and this book addresses these
questions. According to Bishop Heward-Mills you should make sure
that you are not wrongly placed because you are called to be in lay
ministry or full-time ministry and you should keep to that. There
is also a lot of wrong perceptions about ministry such as that
there is nothing important to do in ministry, that it is not real
work and that people who work in ministry have a lot of time on
their hands. The other problem is that many only give themselves
half-heartedly to the ministry – then you won't be successful
because you have to give your heart. The title provides the wrong
and right reasons for full-time ministry and encourages you to give
yourself wholly to God.
