One of the most difficult things to do is to take a church, that has been small for a long time, and cause it to grow. It is difficult at best. It requires a great deal of prayer and a well laid plan. You cannot just go into the task and "wing it." If you don't have a plan going in then you are destined for failure. How do I know that it is difficult to cause a small church to grow? Because the average church in America has an attendance of just sixty five! Only one percent of churches are over one thousand in attendance. As I am writing this book 59 churches a day are closing their doors. I don't want to be average and I don't believe you do either.
