Kudos to Mark Burnett and Roma Downey for putting God and The Bible back in the spotlight in what has become a largely Godless TV and film industry. This mini-series is very watchable and enjoyable (albeit to a degree), and features an memorable performance from newcomer Diogo Morgado as Jesus Christ. However, it suffers from massive inaccuracies which are not true to The Bible or what we know from Sacred Tradition. It also features some over-the-top use of artistic license, as well as odd casting in places. This is the type of mini-series you would probably only want to watch once and never again, as has been my experience.
