D&Q artists have won numerous awards for their innovative and inimitable graphic approaches: from the New Yorker-inspired, evocative drawings of Seth and Maurice Vellekoop to the intricate, emotionally-absorbing linework of Julie Doucet and Chester Brown. The Drawn & Quarterly 2000 calendar runs for 14 months, from December 1999 to January 2001, and features full-color "endpapers" along with extensive biographical information on each contributor. So, forget about those cute, sentimental calendars featuring playful kittens and "nature" scenes that'll be cluttering up the malls come October: here's a calendar that's perfect for art lovers everywhere
