In 1964, a nuclear scientist builds a time machine. He then travels
back in time to the early part of the 20th century in order to
persuade a young 15-year-old Austrian choirboy to become a priest.
When the time-traveler returns to 1964, he discovers that the
alternate timeline is 100 worse than the original timeline. The
Pope was Adolf Hitler himself And the World Leaders had just signed
a decree which granted the pontiff emergency powers to rule the
world The story is a pro-Christian science-fiction novel which
emphasizes the belief that the worst catastrophes are actually
caused by people who had good intentions.
