Born in London, Haythe is a graduate of The American School in London and Middlebury College. He earned his MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. His debut novel, The Honeymoon, was nominated for the 2004 Man Booker Prize. He wrote The Clearing directed by Pieter Jan Brugge, starring Helen Mirren and Robert Redford. His adaptation of Revolutionary Road was released in December 2008, and was nominated for a USC Scripter Award as well as a BAFTA for best adapted screenplay. He is the writer and executive producer of Snitch, currently in pre-production.
