Amidst the clouds and darkness which rest on it, we certainly behold a time, and it cannot be very far in advance of these present years--when all the disclosures of Christ's Revelation will be known universally with as much clearness as they are now known to ourselves, and when, in that vision of His truth, men will recognize their union in the Fellowship of which He is the Centre. We see, moreover, that when He has become thus known, and when men are so united in Him, the laws of His Kingdom will be in supreme ascendancy, so that all must acknowledge, if they do not obey, Him as their King. More than this may perhaps be dimly perceived in "that sure word of propbecy unto which we do well to take heed;" but these prospects, at all events, are certain. And now, if you connect them with what we have also seen, as we look backwards and around, you have a comprehensive survey of the visions on which the Christian believer looks from that position to which I promised to conduct you. I spoke of it as the ground of a securely established faith in the great realities which Christ has unfolded. And, as you see, its basis, and its central point, is the manifestation which we have' witnessed of Himself. We believe that the man who sees The Son, hath seen The Father; that "sent by The Father," and "filled without measure by the Holy Ghost," He came among men to "save" them; and that He has done this by replacing us, through His atoning sacrifice, in the Divine family, and by furnishing us with means by which we may maintain our position, and therein advance to the perfection for which we were created. We hold these as the chief articles of our belief. And you remember ...
