A Vision I Had (Hardcover)

It's a small world. Hailing from a predominantly white neighborhood in Cocoa Beach, Florida where she grows to question her black identity, Cecelia Dawes- known as CeCe- learns this lesson the important way as she gets swirled into a circle of sex, drugs and violence with the end result forever changing her world. CeCe never expects to become a drug dealer's girlfriend, but that changes when she meets Vision, a full-time hustler and part-time rapper. When CeCe and Vision are on the brink of falling in love, their relationship is interrupted by the re-emergence of CeCe's former lover Terrell. Unfamiliar with the streets of Baltimore, CeCe is soon caught up in a dangerous street battle between Baltimore's West side and East side, as Vision and Terrell go to war against each other. CeCe realizes that life is much more brutal than she imagined, and that finding happiness requires her to have strength, faith and hope despite the despair that she falls into.
