RESOLUTIONS AND REMARKS OF THE LIVINGSTON COUNTY BAR, ON THE DEATH OF THE LATE JUDGE HARMON., At a meeting of the members of the Livingston county bar, held on Thursday last, resolutions of respect to the memory of the late Judge Harmon were passed, and the following tributes paid by members of the bar: S. F. HUBBELL. Your Honor: My brother Persons has at this moment handed me this paper, preamble and resolutions, which pertain to the death of our common brother, Henry H. Harmon, which I desire to present to your Honor and read as the testimonial of this bar, in honor of the memory of the death of our brother. I will say, your Honor, before reading these resolutions and preamble that my acquaintance with our brother has been long and very familiar. He has been my neighbor. He has lived within a very short distance from me for many years--something over thirty years. When I came to this place I found him practicing at this bar. He was very cordial to me and very friendly, and those relations have been continued from that time up to the time of his death, without a jar. I wish to say this in his memory, that he was respected by this bar--he was esteemed always by every member of this bar--he was regarded as one of its lights. He was considered by us all as X an excellent lawyer, an honorable man and a good citizen. We so regarded him. Peace to his ashes. His memory will undoubtedly be retained by the members of this bar for many years. Your Honor has been acquainted with him many years; you know him well. Many years have elapsed, your Honor, since I have known you--nearly forty; I do not know but more. We are approaching that period in our lives when, in but a short time more, we must take his place; and I trust we will be remembered by t...
