No other collection of papers will challenge you to set aside your
usual perceptions as these 10 will. Read them with an open mind,
then reexamine those old perceptions against a new frame of
reference. Each paper supports the idea that scholarship and
practice in kinesiology and physical education have the potential
to bring about greater equity--diversity in combination with social
justice. At the same time, each article questions aspects of
current scholarly and professional practice that may work against
social justice. These thoughtful contributions may cause you to
raise your own questions about diversity and social justice and
work to change the dynamics that support injustice in our field.
