This isiZulu language course, designed for outcomes-based education, follows a learner-centred approach and develops the language and thinking skills that learners need to achieve in our rapidly changing world. Within this challenging course: -there is an emphasis on South African writing to ensure that the material is relevant to the learner's experience -there are a wide range of authentic reading, listening and visual tests -the themes chosen are based on the prescribed phase organisers and ensure that integration of all learning areas is achieved -learning activities such as listening,writing, speaking, reading and talking skills are developed the teacher is supporte with guidance on continuous assessment, performance indicators and assessment criteria for each activity, and a brief overview of the outcomes-based approach in the Teacher's Guide.
