The Forgiveness Diet - How to Lose the Weight and Keep It Off (Paperback)

THE FORGIVENESS DIET will help you
Lose accumulated emotional weight
Heal from unresolved hurts and pains
Develop healthy thinking habits
Forgive those who have hurt you deeply
Experience wholeness
Black women are a nation unto themselves. They are reservoirs of strength and endurance that if we lived in a purely matriarchal society would make them some of the world's greatest rulers. Their ability to multitask and to take care of business despite formidable odds has been the focus of poets and songwriters. Most of the time, they do it all by themselves, and for some odd reason, in this society we celebrate that, too. But for all their accomplishments, many African American women suffer from a spiritual sickness that is endangering their lives. They are swollen with the pains of unresolved hurts, literally and figuratively carrying the weight of the world in their mind, body, and spirit. Over time, the sewage builds up. They become emotionally obese.
In his book, The Forgiveness Diet Dr. Jendayo Grady uses the Word of God to take us on a spiritual and psychological journey into the crippling effects of living daily with unforgiveness. In a series of practical scenarios lifted directly from the pages of his practice, Dr. Grady shows us God's blueprint for forgiveness that truly allows us to "Clay down every weight," right at the foot of the cross.
Like all good diet plans, The Forgiveness Diet only works if you work it. Thus, each chapter of this engaging book ends with a personal challenge, so that step by step the reader starts shedding the unwanted pounds caused by years of anger and unforgiveness. By the end of the book, what you will remember most is the feeling of liberation that comes from knowing that as great as you are, an even greater, more fulfilling destiny awaits you.
Dr. Jendayo Grady earned his B.A. in Psychology at Morehouse College in Atlanta, and his Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical Psychology at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Grady is the founder of Holystic Health & Wealth, Inc., a company whose vision is to help people experience wholeness. He also serves as a teacher, preacher, youth minister, and Christian counselor at his local church. He resides in Maryland with his wonderful wife and their five anointed children.
