It will be recalled that at the last session of the Constitution Grand Lodge, at Chicago, the B'ne B'rith and the Chautauqua joined hands for Intellectual Culture, a most laudable undertaking and District No. 7 is to be congratulated on inaugurating the movement under such brilliant conditions.--The Jewish Ledger, New Orleans. Gulf Lodge, of New Orleans, has initiated six members. Bro. Adalbert Skall, member of the Executive Committee for the 10th District, ever active and energetic in behalf of the Order, is about to issue a Directory for the whole Order, a work as painstaking as it is useful and interesting It will be furnished to the lodges and members of the Order at a trifling cost, and we should like to see the brother encouraged in his enterprise by a large demand for the directory. We would at the same time correct a mistake which occurred in No. 5, Vol. xxvii., page 337, of The Menorah, where it read in Bro. Skall's report to the Executive Committee that " Dr. Hammerschlag spoke on the foundation of a periodica' for the Jewish young people," it should read, "Bro. Dr. Hamburger." DISTRICT NO. 1. The jurisdiction of District No. 1 comprises New York, Connecticut Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Canada. Seat Of Grand Lodge, New York City. Dr S. B Wolfe, President of District Grand Lodge No. i, and 1st Vice-President of the District Hon. J. B Klein, visited Horeb Lodge, No. 25, at New Haven, and were present at the celebration of the forty-fifth anniversary of the lodge on Tuesday evening, January 22d.
