All four episodes of the ITV travel series presented by actress and campaigner Joanna Lumley. Embarking on the trip of a lifetime in which she follows the River Nile - the longest river in the world - from sea to source, Joanna heads upstream in the direction of the earliest explorers, travelling by boat, train, ferry, car, plane, mule and camel along 'Africa's life line'. On a 4000-mile journey that takes her through Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda and Rwanda, Joanna revisits the history of the Nile and talks to the people working and living on the river today.
