Fritzsche is more circumstantial: "virgula post dxa&ago. collocata ante zov mente repete dxadageiav." What need there cau be for this I cannot see, since dxn&aga. and ariftcig. stand close together, and the genitive can so well be understood as indicating the sphere of the dxadagaia. Similarly in Rom. viii. 12 the infin. roti xorcf adgxa Jtjv must be considered dependent on 6ptiUzriv, in accordance with the regular phrase 6ptikitTjv thai Tii'Of: see Fritz. Matt. p. 844. In L. i. 74 also Tov Sovvai is most simply taken in connexion with ooxov; compare Jer. xi. 5. It soon became usual, however, to employ this construction in a looser sense, --not only a.
