Lindqvist does it again folks! He expertly casts his stellar reputation on the line by masterfully weaving child-like curiosity into an intricate web of complexity of human emotion in disguises of feinted playfulness or dangerous contempt just on the verge of breaking through the surface. Reading this novel and perceiving events through the cast of Lundqvist's realistic characters quickly makes you wonder aloud, and frequently: where are they? With nothing but each other and their memories to give them the strength they need to overcome this ordeal, you have to ask yourself: will it be enough? Will they find the answers they're looking for? Will they ultimately find themselves as well? Lundqvist really is the next Stephen King. The man writes fiction like a boss.
