Candice was my first child, born with Down Syndrome. For This Child
I Prayed is an account of what she and I experienced in a new and
formerly unknown world of doctors, hospitals, trach care, and other
little brave soldiers. I not only share my fears and
disappointments, my hopes and dreams, but also the strength,
courage, and peace in realizing God's presence through. It is both
a joyous and a sad story, informative and encouraging to other
parents of special children, and also to any and all who are called
upon to pass through life's perplexing circumstances.
At present, I have sold almost half of my books (1,000 copies)
just through distributing them to various Bible Conferences, local
stores, friends, and relatives. I recently sent a copy to the USA
Weekend magazine (insert in the Sunday Paper), and one to the Ask A
Woman column. A front-page article about my book along with
pictures appeared in both local papers, but the main LaCrosse
Tribune is hoping to run an article in conjunction with Barnes
& Nobles there. I have no definite date. The Madison State
