Virginiaas Voyage is a historical fiction adventure. Virginia is an eight-year-old slave child who is about to start working in the fields with her mother Sofia. After a couple of years of exhausting work in the fields they hear rumors that Master Wellington is going to be selling more slaves and that Virginia will most likely be among them. So, Sofia and Virginia decide to make the run to freedom. Sofiaas husband and sons have already been to auction, where they were sold to the highest bidder. Sofia doesnat want to lose Virginia too. They are aware that many slaves are caught and returned to their masters, some are caught and killed, and others make it all the way to freedom. As they start their voyage to freedom they do not know what is ahead of them, but do know that they would rather take the chance or die trying.
