He played for Sunderland Tramways, Derby County, Nottingham Forest, Luton Town, Coventry City, Tottenham Hotspur and Grantham Town. He coached Sporting de Gijon, Valencia CF, Racing Santander, C.A. Penarol, SC YF Juventus, Sporting CP and Vitoria S.C. Derby County Football Club is a football club based in Derby, England, currently playing in the Football League Championship. The club is notable as being one of the twelve founder members of the Football League in 1888 and is, therefore, one of only ten clubs to have competed in every season of the English football league.
