Village Theatre is based out of Issaquah and Everett, Washington, both near Seattle. Within the company are many theatre programs including KIDSTAGE, Mainstage, Village Originals and Pied Piper. At its founding in 1979, the Village Theatre owned one theatre in Issaquah called First Stage, built in 1914. All Village Theatre shows were staged on First Stage from 1979 to 1994. Due to the age and constricted size of the facility, the Francis J. Gaudette Theatre was built in 1994 and the company's mainstage season was moved from "First Stage" to the newly constructed theater.
