Lurem Odoco!, Level 5 - Luo Reader (Paperback)

The Readers all have a large, colourful picture in full colour on each page to illustrate the meaning of the printed words, phrases or short sentences on the page. This is intended to attract the children, interest them in reading, support their understanding and thus enable them to achieve the required literacy competences. The Readers provide an engaging mix of fiction and non-fiction and are designed to reflect respect for faiths, healthy lifestyles, gender awareness and the cultural diversity of Uganda today, so that each boy and girl can easily situate him/herself through comparison with his or her local environment. A significant feature is the one page Teacher's Note in the language of instruction on the back inside cover of each Reader, which is specific to that Reader. All materials have a clearly indicated assessment component to help you conduct pupil assessments. Readily available assessments are available on every theme and sub-theme, to be used in class or as homework. All materials are co-ordinated around the NCDC Guide & curriculum.
