Mechanical Engineering Design, v. 2 - Design Practice (Paperback)

Aspects of design are studied with the idea of showing students how to apply engineering knowledge to good design practice. The text tries to inculcate the principle that though there are usually more than one solution to design problems, one solution will meet the specifications best. In the final chapter, several simple tested design exercises are worked through and items are suggested on which students may test their own design ideas.
