Mink, v. 2 (Paperback, illustrated edition)

,
The backdrop to this story remains the same as volume one: Mink Shiraishi is an ordinary girl pursuing her dream of being a teen idol, thanks to software from the future that can transform her into Cyber Idol Mink. One catch is that if anyone from the future finds out about what she has done (in either her normal form, or as Cyber Idol Mink), her existence will be erased for violating the Laws of Time-Space Management. To make matters worse, Mink is being picked on by the idol who is her role model, Azumi Mizuhara. And the gossip columnist Johnny Hotta is tailing her, making every day a challenge. But Mink sticks it out, working hard for her manager, Motoharu, and his struggling production company because she is secretly in love with him. He's in love with her, too-or at least with Cyber Idol Mink. He doesn't recognize that they are one in the same. These human complications begin to add some real-life drama to Mink's pop fantasy.
