I Thess. 4:16: "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first." Is our faith in the resurrection of the dead gained from nature? No, it is gained from and rests on the teaching of the Bible. The heathen, who have only God's revelation in nature, have nearly all looked for a continuance of the existence of the soul after death, but did not think of the resurrection of the bodies of the dead.
