A computer "geek" experiences a mid-life crisis and moves his family to the north woods of Minnesota to live a more adventurous life. Everything works out better than expected until James Coleman hears a mysterious scream coming from the woods one night. The scream haunts him and he begins an investigation that reveals a lot of strange happenings "Up North," James soon realizes that his family is in eminent danger and tries to extricate them from the situation.
