Alyn Richard Beals (April 27, 1921 - August 11, 1993) was a professional American football end/defensive end in the All-America Football Conference and the National Football League. He played six seasons for the San Francisco 49ers. In 1949, he led the AAFC in scoring with 73 points, and when the AAFC folded at the end of that year, he was the league's all-time scoring leader with 285 points. American football is a sport played between two teams of eleven with the objective of scoring points by advancing the ball into the opposing team's end zone. Known in the United States simply as football, it may also be referred to informally as gridiron football.
