As day draws to a close in the animal kingdom, a mother swan hopes one more glide around the pond will send her young ones off to sleep; monkeys bicker over who gets to hold the baby;
oysters bid their babies to close their shells up tight; and an at-his-wits-end papa seahorse cant get his offspring to shut their eyes at all. All the while, a mama owl is nudging her owlet awake, to begin their nighttime watch.
Adults and children alike will recognize themselves in Pam Conrads gently humorous lullabies, full of the rustles and flutters of bedtime, and the promise of safe slumber.
