A full-colour 1st year textbook for both Higher and Ordinary levels. The first in a series of three books which will cover the Junior Certificate course: Book 2 for 2nd and 3rd years (Ordinary); Book 3 for 2nd and 3rd years (Higher). Themes are presented in full colour and in a lively and practical way. Each chapter reflects the exam format and contains: vocabulary; note; conversation; poems and listening exercises. Written exercises are preceded by vocabulary exercises and written examples, e.g. crosswords. Included separately in the back of the book is a grammar section so it can be incorporated into lessons or taught separately. The tapes are recorded to follow the syle of the exam tape.
