Cutting My Flower is a story of transformation. It traces the story a young woman and how she deals with the difficulty and pain of growing up.

From a Muslim background in apartheid South Africa, she finds herself in the grip of many challenges facing her family, and her experience as a teenager of female genital cutting. Through layers of trauma and upheaval, she journeys ultimately to healing and wholeness.
