I read Mr. Canning's, speech on this su bject with great pleasure, as Isaw in a moment thafcit would be productive of great good in forwarding the cause of Republicanism; I saw that he had disarmed the whole of his enemies excepting the avowed Republicans. There w now no alternative for the Moderate Reformer butf to advance to an avowal of Republican principles, or to prove himself corrupt by falling back to the support of Mr. Cunning...
