This conclusion becomes even more evident when one examines the results of the few experiments given in Table V, in which adrenalin was injected intraperitoneally while the pancreas was isolated. The rise in blood sugar in this table is: 0.06, 0.05, and 0.01 per cent, the average being 0.04 per cent. The glycosurias are: 6.0, 0.0, and 0.5 per cent, the average being 2.2 per cent. The number of these experiments is too small to permit of a definite decision, yet the conclusion is in harmony with that drawn from the experiments of Table IV; namely, that the hyperglycemia and glycosuria observed after intraperitoneal injections are not of pancreatic origin.
