Just arrived, I filled it up and plugged it in and had steam shooting out the back of the kettle where the on/off switch is. The lid doesn't fit properly to the kettle, it is loose to the touch and when closed does not actually line up with the kettle body. Overall the feel and quality is nothing like previous Russell Hobbs products that I have purchased. Not sure if I got a defective one or if this is the new quality of Russell Hobbs products but I will say that I am not going to buying their products online again.
