The Angel with the Crayons (Paperback)

The Angel With The Crayons follows the day to day of young Merton Winkle, a hypochondriac in his search for normalcy. Having been raised as an only child by a mentally abusive single mother, whose time spent on a barstool far surpassed the minutes devoted to her motherly duties, Merton's personality, confidence and view on life are essentially warped, leaving him alone to pick up the pieces. He believes that the end to it all will be reached after finding the other half of his genetic lineage. Though while trying to connect with the man suspected to be his father, an unexplained medical condition (that for once is not in his head) lands Merton in a hospital bed wondering what could go wrong next. Through the view from his rested position, sit with our narrator as he interacts with his roommate and the hospital staff in a twist on what would otherwise be considered a humorous, heart-warming and heart-breaking story that shapes the future of this young hypochondriac's existence.
