Simpson, Tagg, and Murray, on Pine, furnish Ladies residing in the southern section; while on Spring Garden, Archambault, Lytle, Scott, Thornley & Chism, Williams & Co., have establishments, both as to grandeur and quality of goods, unsurpassed. Embroideries, Laces, fcc. Furner & Co., George W. Vogel, and a few of the Dry Goods houses before mentioned on Chestnut street, are first class in Embroideries, Laces, 4c. On North Eighth street, we notice Long Brothers, Lonnerstadter, Rosenbaum, Wood, and Worne. On Spring Garden, McCurdy. Family Medicines. The eight story granite building with tower, erected by Dr. Jayne on Chestnut street, denotes the immense popularity of his Family medicines. Barnes' preparations, 333 Chestnut street; Hoofland's Bitters, prepared by Dr. C. M. Jackson, Arch street; Louden & Co.'s Medicines, Wright's Pills, Schenck's Pulmonic Syrup, Swaim's Panacea and Vermifuge, are highly recommended, and sold throughout the United States and in foreign countries.
