Saxon (DVD)

An ex-con races against time to pay back his debts in this blackly comic crime thriller from director Greg Loftin. After leaving prison, Eddie (Sean Harris) loses an eye when it's extracted by the loan-shark he owes money to in lieu of payment. But with only half of the debt paid, Eddie has to find the other half of the money owed or face a future in the dark. With time running out, he heads for London in search of his long-lost childhood sweetheart Linda (Sarah Matravers) in the hope that she'll be able to help. Still living in the deprived housing estate where she and Eddie grew up, Linda's life is on the up, owing to her husband Kevin (Paul McNeilly)'s million pound win on a TV game show. But with Kevin now mysteriously vanished, Eddie has to work fast to try and track down his only lifeline, and, if he fails, he'll be gazing into a terrifying future - or not, as the case may be.
