Hamlin, on "Anna Held," played the game of his life, hitting the ball in the air, and picking it up off the ground in his hands whenever necessary. The final match for the Karlstein cups was played next before a large gathering, and proved a great surprise for every one. The score was 10 to 5 (no handicap) in favor of Dedham. Warren played probably the best game of his life at "Back," and Dabney at " 1" also distinguished himself, the other members of the team being Crane and Forbes. On the day of this game the chorus girls from " The Silver Slipper " came out to see the game and Mo. Williams, and the officers from the German warship " Gazelle' made things pretty gay in the club-house after the game. After sampling more than half a dozen of our cocktails, they were helped into the "Freak," and departed, yelling: " Ve had fine time. Ve kom again. Ve kom again." The Providence tournament was next in order, and it was a great success. The number of their committees is very extraordinary, and the details of the tournament were carried out exceptionally well.
