The ingenious Mr. Albert B irker of Hond Street has patented a most convenient device for use instead of the bits of paper, in the shape of the ' Pathfinder, ' a neat little contrivance re sembling a match-case, made in gold or silver, and so constructed that when onened slips of metal, with a number on each, appear in the shape of a fan. T te guests pick, and return the slips to their places, to be ready for another d.y. During the shooting season the ' Pathfinder' can be attached to one's watch-chain. Cases on the same plan, it may be added, are made for matches, fi r cigarettes, for both combined, and for various other purposes. A 'Jaeger tailor' has a strong recommendation to start with, inasmuch as the material on which he works possesses valuable properties of its own; and when the material is made up with that special knowledge of sporting requirements which is to such a great extent the exception and not the rule, t' e 'Jaeger tailor' deserves very particular notice.
