SALT LAKE CITY 1922 The purpose of that provision of law requiring the State Superintendent of Public Instruction to formulate a code or schedule of standardized requirements is to acquaint the architect with certain features which are considered essential to the proper construction and administration of the modern school building as an aid to him in determining the 'general arrangement and character of the building and to guide him towards a standardization of plan and construction without in any way limiting his architectural expression or individuality. If the experience, research or special knowledge of the architect has placed him in possession of facts concerning materials or methods differing from and in his judgment more desirable than those set forth in this code, such information should be transmitted promptly to the State Superintendent of Public Instruction for his consideration and action.
