The Committee's report finds that current visitor facilities at the Houses of Parliament are inadequate, particularly in relation to the long queues that form and the lack of information for people on arrival. The Committee recommends that creation, at the earliest opportunity, of a new reception/security building to improve access, visitor information and security arrangements. For the longer term, suitable accommodation should be found outside the Palace of Westminster for a large-scale interpretative visitor centre.
