Cartridge paper takes its name from the now-defunct practice of wrapping gunpowder in parcels of smooth paper. It is a surface which is best suited to drawing with pencils, technical pens, graphite, charcoal or pen and ink.This is an A5 gummed pad of cartridge paper with a smooth surface which makes it well suited to detailed drawing in pencil or pen-and-ink.
