Not illustrated. 1872 Excerpt: ...and university lands, of satisfactory proof that such tract was at the time of sale, in whole or in part, under cultivation, or adjoined a tract partly cultivated, belonging to such former owner, and used in connection with, 'and upon depositing with the state treasurer, for the use of the purchaser at such sale, the amount paid by him for such land, with twentj'-five per cent, of the amount paid for tc.xes, interest and costs, and every certificate issued upon such sales hereafter made, shall be subject to the right of redemption f-bove provided for, whether it be expressed in the certificate or not. Section 2. No patents shall be executed by the Not to issue commissioners of school and university lands, for lands Patentsof the kind hereinbefore indicated, so sold for the nonpayment of interest or taxes until the expiration of said time of redemption. Section 3. Upon such redemption, the school and snail cancel university land commissioners shall cancel the certifi-saie flcat f cate issued on the sale of such land, and shall make and deliver to the party so redeeming, a certificate of such redemption. Section 4. All proof presented to the commis-Proofs to be sioners of school and university lands under this act, keptonflleshall be preserved and kept en file in the olfice of the secretary of state; and all certificates of redemption shall be recorded in said office, in a book to be kept for the purpose.
